A working meeting with the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev was held today, on December 10, during a visit to Khanty-Mansiysk.

The head of the region began her report with the current epidemiological situation in the district. Natalia Komarova noted that, according to the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) a cumulative total of 36,557 confirmed cases of the disease were detected in Ugra. 32,191 people have recovered from COVID-19. 454 people died.
"The spreading coefficient of infection for today is 1. The indicator of the population covered with the medical examining is 362.2 per 100 thousand inhabitants. 7,368 people were examined for COVID-19 during the day. We consider this to be an extremely important area to characterize the state of affairs, and we continue to provide a high level of testing. The availability of a free bed-spaces, taking into consideration the planned deployment during the day, is 131 percent, " the governor stressed, " These indicators characterize the situation with the spread of a new COVID-19 infection as tense. According to the absolute number of cases, Ugra is in the top ten regions with the highest rate of infected people."
At the same time, according to Natalia Komarova, the health care system of the Autonomous Okrug keeps everything under control, it is provided with all the necessary resources, personnel, "covid" beds, equipment, laboratories with significant capacities, including robotic technologies. In addition, Ugra has formed an irreducible supply of medicine and personal protective equipment.
Touching upon the goals of national development, the Governor expressed gratitude to the Plenipotentiary for the support and promotion of projects of road and bridge construction in the region, noting that the initiative for the extension of the Federal highway "Tyumen – Khanty-Mansiysk" to 4 lanes, which the envoy mentioned during his first press conference in his new capacity, is a vital necessity, which will reduce the number of road accidents, overload of the highway, and will improve the quality.
"The expansion of transport flows will make the leisure and business trips of North residents faster and safer," Natalia Komarova said.
In continuation of the topic, the Governor of Ugra announced that the priority attention is paid to the project of construction of the second bridge crossing over the Ob River in the Surgutskiy region. "The Government of the Autonomous Okrug, in cooperation with the Federal Road Agency, is finishing the project documentation for this important infrastructure facility for us," she said. - The road and bridge are designed for 4 lanes of traffic. The construction terms are 2021 – 2024."
The next topic of a great importance for Ugra, which was touched upon by the governor, touches upon the Arctic.
"Ugra is a strategic region of Russia that can contribute to the development of the Arctic zone of the country. Berezovsky and Beloyarsky districts of the Autonomous Okrug are classified by the Government of the Russian Federation as regions of the Far North. Both districts have investment, transport and logistics, as well as mineral resources potential. Dear Mr. Yakushev, I would like to ask you to provide support to our proposal and include them into the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation," Natalia Komarova addressed the Plenipotentiary.
