Football development in Ugra reaches a new level

Department of Public and External Relations of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra informs:
Cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Government of Ugra, the Russian Football Union and Ugra Football Federation was signed by the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin, the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova, the President of the Russian Football Union Alexandr Dyukov, the President of the Football Federation of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Sergei Vlasov.
The document is aimed at developing and popularizing football in Ugra, achieving the goals of the national strategy for the development of this sport until 2030.
'The agreement is valid until 2024. The plan for this period is to increase the number of football players in Ugra to 26 thousand people. To do this, the Department of Sports in the region, together with the regional Football Federation, will hold events to develop and promote this sport,' Natalia Komarova said.
According to the Head of the region, now participants of the student football League and the League of Street Football will be able to participate in competitions at the regional and all-Russian levels after the municipal stage of the competition. It is planned to establish a School Football League.
'This is the second program implemented in general education organizations. Now schools are already working with the all-Russian project Mini-football-to school. Young Ugra residents have their first results. In the 2019-2020 season, in the final of the Ural Federal district, the team of Pokachi took 2nd place,' Natalia Komarova added.
The Governor also stressed that during implementation of the agreement, children's football centers will be established in the region, and a football department will be opened in the Ugra Boarding College of the Olympic Reserve. Training programs and advanced training sessions will be organized for physical education teachers and trainers.
Cooperation between the parties include the following areas: modernization of the sports reserve training system, development of the club football system, improving the level of personnel and infrastructure provision in this sport, and holding competitions for teams. The parties also plan to jointly develop programs for development of football in Ugra, train a sports reserve, and involve public organizations in this work.
Popularization of this sport is planned among all age categories of Ugra residents.
'In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, more than 25 thousand people play football, and this number will continue to grow. Together with the Russian Football Union, the Government of Ugra and the Regional Football Federation, we will provide opportunities for practicing football and its varieties,' Oleg Matytsin said.
According to him, the agreement will give an additional impetus to development of women's football and mini-football, creation and modernization of sports infrastructure. By 2024, it is planned to build more than 10 football facilities.
Alexandr Dyukov stressed that Ugra is an important region on the mini-football map of Russia and Europe. Gazprom-Ugra is a multiple champion of Russia, winner of the Russian Cup, and winner of the UEFA mini-football Cup. Fakel-GTS from Surgut has been representing Ugra in the top league of mini-football for many years. The stability of the teams ' performances and success is one of the reasons for the constant growth of interest in mini-football among the region's residents and increase in the number of children studying in sports schools,' he said.
Alexandr Dyukov especially noted that due to implementation of the agreement, a children's football center of the Russian Football Union will be opened on the basis of one of the Ugra schools, and schools, organizations of secondary professional and higher education, and amateur leagues will become part of the regional football ecosystem.
