Exhibition Fair “UgraTour-2019” will unite about 100 exhibitors of the Russian and foreign Tourism market

On November 8-9, 2019, Khanty-Mansiysk will host the 18th Tourism Exhibition Fair “UgraTour-2019.”
The day before, the large-scale business program of the exhibition will be launched. On November 7, the All-Russian Youth Educational Marathon “Tourism project. Speed March. Ugra” will begin its work. Its participants will be more than 50 students aged 18 to 24 years, who will develop projects in the field of youth tourism, relevant to the Autonomous Okrug.
The three-day marathon program includes project work, trainings and master classes by leading experts of creative industries, tourism and hospitality. From the first day each participant will choose one of the five directions, in which he or she will take part in a series of master classes on design, photo and video mastery, journalism, marketing, PR and tourism management. The experts of “Tourism project” will tell the participants about the most actual tools and methods that will help them to contribute to the development of youth tourism in Ugra.
The marathon will be held with the support of the Department of Industry of the Autonomous Okrug, the National Association of Event Tourism Specialists and the International Academy of Tourism Industry Development.
On November 8, at the opening of the exhibition, the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova, the Attaché for Tourism of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, the First Secretary of the National Representation for Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria Katya Zhekova and the President of the National Association of Event Tourism Specialists Oleg Alekseev will make welcoming speeches.
Within the framework of the business program there will be a meeting of the Coordination Council for the Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism under the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra. It will be led by Deputy Governor Alexey Zabozlaev. The agenda includes issues related to the formation of a strategy for long-term development of the industry, development of marketing and communication strategies to promote the tourism potential of Ugra, development of medical tourism and export of medical services.
The participants of the exhibition will be provided with a training seminar on reduction of negative consequences of seasonality of demand for services, a round table on development of children’s and youth tourism, presentation of the concept of a digital Tourism platform, as well as presentation of Tourism projects and routes of the regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
It should be noted that since 2018, the UgraTour exhibition has been held in a new format, representing a single space. The stands of the participants are stylized in the form of a traditional dwelling of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North - the chums (tent), by which one can pass along CHUMovaya Street to the City of Masters, where everyone can take part in master classes on making Ugra souvenirs.
For gourmets, the gastronomic fair “Try Ugra for taste” will be open during 2 days of the exhibition. Here it will be possible to taste and buy northern delicacies of the producers of the Autonomous Okrug.
About 100 exhibitors take part in the exhibition: representatives of the relevant authorities of 20 municipalities of the Okrug, Tourism market of Ugra, Altai Territory, Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Leningrad, Tula and Novosibirsk Regions, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Republic of Bulgaria.
The central part of the exhibition will be occupied by the exhibition display of the Department of Industry and Development Fund of Ugra with an interactive presentation of the tourism potential of the Autonomous Okrug. Here will be presented prospective directions of tourism (event, ethnographic, gastronomic, natural, and industrial), routes, existing Tourism and transport infrastructure, proposals for the development of tourism infrastructure.
At the exhibition it is planned to sign a cooperation agreement between the Department of Industry of Ugra and the National Association of Event Tourism, a tripartite agreement between LLC RD-Travel (travel company RussiaDiscovery), LLC Wild North-Ugra and the Ugra Development Fund. In partnership with RussiaDiscovery, which forms a network of glampings throughout Russia, the tour operator Wild North-Ugra plans to create several glampings in the Nether-Polar Urals within the boundaries of the Autonomous Okrug. By the way, the exhibition will feature glamping - a translucent tent with comfortable furnishings, which allows the guests to feel at home in the wilderness.
On November 9, the results of regional competitions of event tourism in Ugra will be summed up, and the best municipality in the sphere of tourism will be announced.
We recall that, UgraTour exhibition has been held in Khanty-Mansiysk since 2001, promoting the development of modern tourism industry. The geography of the participants covers all federal districts of the Russian Federation. Over the past 5 years, the event has become an international event: its participants were representatives of the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovakia, China.
