Annual forum "UgraTur 2021" opened in Khanty-Mansiysk

Annual tourist forum "UgraTur 2021" takes place in an online format. The Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
The head of the region recalled that this is the 20th tourism forum, and representatives of 5 foreign countries, 36 constituent entities of the Russian Federation take part in it. According to Natalia Komarova, each region has something that can be used to attract tourists, improve tourist routes, and improve the quality of a tourist product.
"Regional project "Tourism and the hospitality industry" has been implemented in the Autonomous Okrug since 2021," Natalia Komarova noted. "Subsidies are provided for the development of infrastructure projects, formation of tourist routes, a program of preferential loans for creation and modernization of tourist infrastructure facilities is in effect."
Head of the Region said that tourism has got a foothold on the digital economy platform. A single digital tourism platform VISITUGRA.RU has been created. This is a regional market place for travel service providers. With the help of 110 tourism organizations of the tourism sector and related industries, the platform allows tourists to independently form a route or purchase a ready-made tour. "Pay attention to our resource," Natalia Komarova addressed the forum participants. "We will welcome your suggestions."
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug has entered the federal pilot project for the implementation of the state social order in the field of tourism. To popularize and increase accessibility of tourism, school-age children are given the opportunity to travel around the cities of Ugra at the expense of a social certificate. Next year, over a thousand young Ugra residents will have such an opportunity.
This year, an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between the Government of Moscow, the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, PJSC LUKOIL. This partnership is one of the guides of Ugra tourism potential.
"Our region is the center of ethnographic tourism in Russia. We are uniting regions in this area, demonstrating the best practices. In the coming year, together with the resource center in the field of national relations, the National Association of Event Tourism Specialists, we will hold an all-Russian competition in the field of ethnographic tourism with the final in November at the tourist forum "UgraTur 2022" in Khanty-Mansiysk," the Head of the Region noted.
Natalia Komarova told the forum participants the legend of the indigenous people of Khanty about the experienced hunter Mish and the deer. "Deers still remain the best friends of the Khanty and Mansi peoples, serve them, help them in the household. We are ready to show the guests a living fairy tale, to show today's Ugra, to show what we have," Natalia Komarova said. "You can visit national villages, camps, take part in reindeer herder's day, see deer, ride a sled, test your strength, dexterity, taste traditional dishes of the indigenous peoples of the North, conquer Narodnaya Mountain - a source of strength, energy of nature."
The Head of the Region wished the forum participants fruitful work, constructive dialogue, and success.
Elena Lysenkova, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, said that many previously conceived initiatives and projects in the field of tourism are currently being reviewed at the level of federations and regions. In the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry", which was launched this year, the regions are considered as a single tourist space for the first time, and for some regions tourism becomes an anchor branch of the economy.
She also noted that one of the tasks is comprehensive development of tourist infrastructure in the regions, creation of modern hotels with ethnic, regional formats. Creating a comfortable tourist environment in cities and villages on the territory of tourist routes.
"Ugra is a unique region. It has all the resources necessary for the formation of sustainable year-round tourist demand and formation of tourist products. This is a unique museum, natural parks, nature reserves, eco-routes," Elena Lysenkova said. "Today Ugra is preparing new projects and initiatives, and we will be glad to support them"
UgraTur 2021 forum has become a platform for discussing development of domestic and foreign tourism, mechanisms for development of tourist infrastructure, presentations of tourist projects of Ugra and the regions of Russia. Within the framework of the business program, an interregional meeting "Tourism in Russia – prospects and opportunities", a panel session "Development of industrial tourism in Ugra", a presentation session of projects participating in the accelerator of tourist projects of Ugra, a round table "Profession guide" and other events will take place.
In addition, UgraTur 2021 will be held within the framework of the CREAMETRIA International Festival of Creative Industries, which will combine acceleration programs, strategic sessions, educational and competitive projects, and art workshops from November 12 to 28. The program includes more than 30 events, which will be attended by international and federal speakers, leading experts, entrepreneurs, government officials, researchers and creators.
